There is actually one more pattern called the Locrian scale which is pretty similar to the Ionian Scale however starting off on the 2nd fret F# note.

Pointers to Note:
1) There are 7 different patterns of scales for a major scale
     -Ionian
     -Dorian
     -Phryqian
     -Lydian
     -Mixolydian
     -Locrian

2) At different keys, the position of each scale will be different

G key Ionian starts of at the 3rd fret whereas C key Ionian will starts of at the 8th fret
G key Dorian starts of at the 5th fret whereas C key Dorian starts of at the 10th fret
G key Aeolian starts of at the open string or 12th fret where as C key Aeolian starts of at the 5th fret

3) All scales are linked with the scale before and after (Each scale overlap the next scale)

4) When practicing make sure you use the down up picking method

5) Take note of the numberings as the number reflects what finger you should use.
